When Adrian Holey, who works in the private client department of Harrogate-based Barber Titleys, is not at his desk he is often travelling at up to 165mph as a driver with one of Britain’s rising independent motor racing teams. He combines his weekly work, dealing with issues such as wills and probate, with being a works driver for motor racing car designer and manufacturer, Juno Racing, which competes at major motor racing events throughout the UK and in Holland, Belgium and Germany. Adrian, who joined Barber Titleys earlier this year, started racing motor cycles as a teenager and switched to cars, initially driving Formula Ford vehicles as an independent driver based at his home in Harrogate. He worked full time in motor racing between 1992 and 1994 as a team manager with his own workshop in Lincolnshire. After returning to being semi professional, he won the 750 Motor Club Formula Ford 2000 Championship in 1998. Adrian has driven sports prototype cars with Preston-based Juno Racing, which has recently been bought into by the chairman of high street retail giant Next, David Jones, since 2002. He and a fellow driver have won three of the four races they have entered this year in the Brit Sports Racing Series. Juno racing founder and technical director, Ewan Baldry, a former engineer with the Williams Formula One Team, says: “It is great to have Adrian on our team. We’re hoping that some of Barber Titleys business connections will help us gain further sponsorship as we pursue our aim to become Britain’s leading motor racing team.” Ends For further details on Barber Titleys, please contact marketing manager, Michelle Crowhurst.
