Barber Titleys offer hands on work experience across a variety of law areas allowing students to obtain a feel for the reality of working in a law firm. 

 

Under the title of 'Office Assistant' students will be placed in an entry level role within the support services team allowing for the widest scope of interaction with the firm. 

 

As an office assistant the daily routine will involve managing the incoming and outgoing post, collection and distribution of documents internally, assisting with preparation of client correspondence and documentation, copying of documentation, filing and on an as needed basis, assisting with various ongoing projects.

 

Additionally, students will participate in internal training programs or events and will have the opportunity to interact with solicitors and support staff from each area of law within the firm.

 

The duration of the placement is set at four full weeks in order to give students maximum value from their time with us.

 

There are currently two work placement slots available:

 

June 21st to July 16th 2010          4 weeks 

 

July 19th to Aug 13th 2010          4 weeks

 

Monday to Friday    9:00 – 17:30
